Qualifications

I worked with a leadership coach for over 1 year and developed a unique coaching style that applies an enthusiastic approach to motivating and inspiring people to achieve their best. I also worked with a personal trainer with a degree in exercise science that prioritized injury prevention for over 3 years before joining a functional fitness gym.

About Coach

I was coached in High School by a well-known Cross Country and Track & Field running coach focused on developing young athletes to be the best version of themselves, both in sport and out. He leveraged the motivational techniques consistent with one of the best football coaches of all time, Vince Lombardi. I've applied what I learned from him to every aspect of my life, including work and working out. I push myself in every workout to give 110% effort and try to create an environment where those around me are compelled to do the same.

Turning Point

Like many others, 2020 was a turning point in my life. I learned more about myself during that time, particularly that my internal self-dialogue could be as defeating as it could be inspiring. I practiced self-affirmation techniques to make meaningful progress in key areas of my life I had previously been extremely critical of. While I still have a lot of areas of my life I am driven to improve, I have succeeded in making huge strides in areas that are now foundational for more significant progress in the years to come. As I've just turned 40 recently, my goal was to make 40 my most "fit" year yet, and have made more progress this last year in my fitness journey than I ever could have imagined. While 2020 was a year of self-indulgence, the last year has been a year of self-care with my health and fitness being the top priority.

Motivation & Passion

I've been coaching people in their professional careers for over 20 years but I've never experienced what it's like to coach people through their fitness journey, until now. The coaches I've had in my life have had profound impacts on me and I am passionate to have a similar impact on others. My coaching motivation is not for a person to only lift a weight heavier than they've lifted before, or run faster than they've run before, but to put more effort into everything than they have before. I believe every person is capable of more than they believe in their own minds they are, and I hope to create an environment where every athlete is able to do just that.
